Serbia’s GDP grows 1.1% y/y in Q3 – flash estimate

BELGRADE (Serbia), October 31 – Serbia’s economic output grew by a real 1.1% year-on-year in the third quarter of 2022, the country’s statistical office said in a flash estimate.

More details on the growth of Serbia’s gross domestic product (GDP) in the second quarter will be released on November 30, the statistical office said in a statement on Monday.

Serbia’s economy expanded by an estimated 3.9% year-on-year in the second quarter of 2022, the statistical office said in August.

Both the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the World Bank have forecast that Serbia’s GDP will grow by 3.3% this year, while Serbia’s goverment and the International Monetary Fund expect an increase of 3.5%.
