Azerbaijan and Romania Strengthen Partnership

Bucharest will host the 7th meeting of the Joint Commission on Trade and Economic Relations and Scientific and Technical Cooperation between the governments of Azerbaijan and Romania.

The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Azerbaijan told Day.Az on Saturday that the co-chairman of the commission from the Azerbaijani side, the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Sahil Babayev said this while receiving Romanian Ambassador to our country Vasile Soare.

During the meeting, it was emphasized that the Azerbaijani-Romanian relations are constantly developing and today they are at the level of strategic partnership. Over the past period, 61 documents were signed that serve to expand bilateral cooperation. As another indicator of the development of economic ties, a 2.4-fold increase in trade turnover between the two countries was noted last year.

The activities of the joint commission between the governments of Azerbaijan and Romania, which contributes to the expansion of cooperation in various fields, were noted. An exchange of views took place on issues of bilateral cooperation, issues of preparation for the next meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission were discussed.
