Women’s handball champions Croatia


In the second round, the Croatian women’s handball team will wait for the draw of the qualifying groups for the European Championship in Austria, Switzerland and Hungary in 2024, which will be held on April 20 in Zurich.

Croatia is in the elite group of the first strong group, which also includes France, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, Spain and Montenegro. 
In the second drum are Slovenia, Romania, Serbia, Poland, the Czech Republic, Macedonia, Slovakia and Iceland.

From the third drum, Croatia can get Portugal, Ukraine, Turkey, Italy, Faroe Islands, Lithuania, Greece and Kosovo, and from the fourth drum, Israel, Finland, Luxembourg, BiH, Latvia, Azerbaijan and Bulgaria.

In addition to the three hosts, the first- and second-placed national teams from all seven qualifying groups and the four best third-placed selections will compete in the final tournament, which will be held from November 28 to December 15, 2024. The championship is played in Vienna, Innsbruck, Basel and Debrecen.

The first round of qualifications will take place on October 11 and 12, and the second on October 14 and 15, 2023. The qualifications continue next year, the third round is on February 28 and 29, the fourth on March 2 and 3. , the fifth on April 3 and 4, and the sixth on April 7.

At last year’s European Championship in Slovenia, North Macedonia and Montenegro, Norway won the first place and Croatia the tenth.
